krHACKen кстати у меня к тебе вопросы:
1:когда будешь делать дамп можешь сделать так что бы сначала грузилось HDD OSD а уже из него PSBBN?(а лучше 2 дама один что бы сначала HDD OSD запускалось 2й что бы сначала PSBBN)
2:я слышал что PSBBN не поодерживает мультитапы,не отображает больше 2х карт памяти в меню,можно это исправить?
3:я заметил что клиент почты при загрузке некоторых писем намертво вешает PS2,это можно исправить? =)
4: в меню PSBBN я нигде не нашел где посмотреть обьем HDD,помоему так такого даже не предусмотренно,так вот у меня предложение,может информацию о свободном занятом месте на HDD поместить как на PS3 в информацию о системе?(там где отображается версия PS1 драйвера DVD-плеера и т.д)
5:и еще хотелось бы web-браузер вывести в главное меню если это возможно =)

1) Do you mean you want a dump that starts the HDDOSD first, with the PSBBN selectable from the HDD browser like an app ? I think it's possible. The condition is to keep the PSBBN MBR in place. The PSBBN MBR is responsible of discs/apps boot. If it is replaced by the HDDOSD MBR, the PSBBN could no longer run apps and discs. So the PSBBN MBR must be present, and it must load the HDDOSD KELF (hosdsys) instead of the PSBBN kernel launcher (osdboot). I will try to do my next dumps like that.

2) Thanks for the info. Well, I don't think I can fix this. Yesterday, I tried to add an item to the MC browser, the Virtual Memory Card. It didn't work. The text is displayed but when I select it, it jumps to an existing submenu (MC1 or MC2). So I guess this section of the PSBBN must be recoded with Sony SDK in order to add the multitap support to the MC browser module.

3) This may be caused by a faultive charset... Loading the mail client in UTF-8 will probably fix it... I will see what I can do. Thanks for the info.

4) Like for the multitap, I think it's not possible without recoding the module.

5) Yes=), I was about to add a shortcut to NetFront in the main menu. But before, I have to do deeper researches on NetFront and optimize it. At the moment, I've been able to restore the virtual keyboard, with the English interface, but I'm still facing bugs. Window borders are not shown, it does nothing when you press a key of the virtual keyboard...

Супер - спасибо за столь подробный мануал. Сразу скажу удалось немного упростить решение. У меня стоит на компе виртуальная машина Download Ubuntu Virtual Machine + enviroment to compile OPL из этой темы. Достаточно поставить testdisk в synaptics и подключить хард через usb переходник (если таковой есть разумеется). Через терминал всё прекрасно работает без перезагрузки.

У меня тоже парочка вопросов =)

1) Bishi Bashi Special 3 - ты писал, что были наработки по этой теме - было бы интересно увидеть. Если наконец-то появился полноценный эмулятор первой сони это же будет невероятно круто!!! Хотелось бы самому устанавливать игры от ПС1 в список программ, какой-нибудь хотя бы минимальный туториал по этой теме не помешал бы.
2) Как всё-таки можно смотреть фильмы через Movie Channel? Понятно, что по мануалу MovieDownloader for PS-BBN, но у него как всегда всё очень лаконично и малопонятно. В идеале хотелось бы какой-нибудь уже настроенный мини-сервер (урезанный по возможности), чтобы все действия сводились к перетаскиванию файла в папку.
3) Также можно ли просто скопировать pss файл на жёсткий, чтобы ББ Навигатор смог его увидеть? Есть подозрение, что это происходит в разделе __common поскольку, там создаются папки, но полной уверенности у меня нет.

There is a PS2 port of ePSXe called "PS2PSXe". I never tried it.

I stopped my investigations on the Bishi Bashi Emulator at the very first stage, because I moved to another PS2 project. At this stage, emulation of homebrews with the BBS3 emulator consists of a very dirty hack :
A homebrew executable is injected onto the emultated PS1 BIOS (the homebrew replaces the PlayStation OSD). When the BBS3 emulator emulates the PS1 BIOS, it executes the homebrew code instead of the PlayStation OSD::dirol::. So for now, there is no CD-ROM emulation, the hacked emulator can only run PS-X EXEs, executable size is hyper restricted (because it must fit into the PS1 OSD room), disc image of Bishi Bashi 3 must be present (if not, the virtual CD drive can't be mounted and the emulator crashes).
If we could gain control of the virtual CD drive and use it to run retail ISOs:Blush:...



I didn't try Richi's MovieDownloader but I experienced 2 movie downloads from a Hudson Channel backup (stored in my server).

Maybe we could write our own Movie Downloader or learn more about movie downloading after analyzing Hudson Channel scripts...

If I remember correctly, movies are stored into the __common partition, and referenced by a SQL database located in __contents/contents/database/movie.db. Movies can be copied directly to the HDD, but the database must be updated in convenience.

Я нашёл простой способ как получить NetFront на английском. Достаточно зайти в папку \home\bn\.netfrontrc\lib\locale\ja\LC_MESSAGES\ и переименовать файлы netfront_sce_eng.mo и netfront_sce_eng.po в netfront_sce_jp.mo (netfront_sce_jp.po)

совершенно верно.Я бы хотел 2 дампа,один именно тот что вы описали(сначало HDD OSD оттуда запуск PSBBN) а второй с обычной загрузкой PSBBN,пусть у людей будет выбор какой способ запуска им удобней =)
PS:лично я буду пользоваться дампом где запуск HDD OSD будет первым,но кому то может удобней что бы сразу запускался PSBBN так что пускай будут оба варианта дампа::dirol::

That's actually the trick I use, but from script files (I don't remember which scripts). Scripts have variable for "Western" and "NTSC" profiles. "Western" profile uses the netfront_sce_eng resource and also applies GUI corrections, for texts to be displayed properly.
The advantage of modifying scripts is the customisation of the default profile. For example, you can set the position of buttons, set your homepage, block unwanted connections...


By the way, there is another SQL database for movies indexation. In the __linux.7 partition, database/sqlite/movie.db.

I didn't post dumps for a while, so here is some new crap.
This is a dump I made during my experiments.
Do not expect something stable and good looking, it has not been originaly made to be released.
I'm just sharing it for those who want to see some evolution on this topic.
In definitive, this is riskware, piece of crap, waste of space, pile of bugs.
Feel free to test it, but at your own risk...
