This is beginning of Header file (1Mb) combined by 10 bytes In offset 400h there is SPOP word :) and image size in sectors on offset 406h (twice). The same that in offset 9368h in original CD image. It seems that there is Country-Code Lockout for Japan consoles, right? Emulator uses latest bios from SCPH-103 v4.5 J (there is no dump in community - so it will be useful not only for PS2) so it seems that it really use region protection. |

I replaced bios file to scph7502.bin and I was able to run PAL games (there was even boot sequence). I dont know if there is region free bios but we can always patch image region.

I didn't change sector count and games run fine. I only tested ntsc FFIX(at battle are disappearing some characters) and Silent Hill (some slowdowns but works good). When I run pal Diablo it freezes in loading screen (probably copy protection).
Emulator always run in NTSC mode. If you want it to run in PAL use GSM from psx-scene. Replacing %s/disc/disc0 with %s/disc/disc%d wouldn't work. I tried boot to bios with normal image(without header) but it hangs. Soon I will try with cdaudio. |

I was trying to launch Crash Bash Pal and it shows me some graphical bugs and when i try to enter the game it freezes on Loading screen...
It seems that there is really copy protection modules. |

Regarding CogSwap, ZoneLoader or any 3rd Party tool, I'm affraid it's not possible. The installer tells to remove Disc 1, insert Disc 2 and rejects wrong discs. There is no poweroff/reset, the second disc have to be inserted and validated whilst the installation program is running. Single-swap method does not work, even if the TOC is refreshed. That shit can not be installed on unmodded units. I sent my cracked backups to the trashbin :( . Can't make new ones for the moment because I'm working on the "MRBew Loader" project. If I find the time, I'll release cracked Utility Discs so someone with a modchipped console can intall it and share the HDD dump... Цитата:
