будут или еще какие то новые каналы поправки в переводе новые функции может быть? =)
также хотелось что бы во всех следующих дампах присутствовали предустановленные UlaunchELF и OPL 0.8 как это было в прошлом дампе,хоть они и зависают при запуске из PSBBN при включеном чипе,зато при отключенном работают прекрасно,а из HDD OSD работают как с включенным так и отключенным чипом =)

No new features or modifications for now.
Next dumps will be "normal" A4 hack of the HDDOSD combined to the "normal" A2 hack of PSBBN 0.32.

My next tests will concern PSBBN 0.20.
0.20 is destroyed after the update.
I will try to update it, restore its original scripts and see if it comes back to life.
Then if it works, I will make a dump of it.
After making the dump, I will see if I can export deleted functionalities (like the MiniDisc support) to the 0.32=).
In the meanwhile, I may test the addition of new channels.
The NetFront shortcut will probably be added to the main menu or the channel menu after setting it up (language, desktop...)

Sorry, Google Translate made crap. You want OPL and uLe to be included in future dumps ? This will be done, but not the versions that are included in Shitty dump of the day. These versions are outdated, customized for tests and use experimental loaders. Not to be included in a stable release.

OK. So I'll put AKuHAK's OPL and uLe 4.42b in my next dumps, but before I have another thing to do : I think I've found what caused Richi's files to be overwritten. My current goal is to fix the __linux.4 partition in order to preserve Richi's translated scripts.

может у тебя и нормально работает, но виртуальные карты памяти работать не будут, потому что для них нужен свой раздел жёсткого диска. У обычного ОПЛ - это раздел +OPL, а у моего ОПЛ - это вышеописанный раздел.

а темы для OPL работать будут если создать там как в +OPL папку THM и положить туда темы для него? у меня раньше именно так и работало ::dirol::

OPL uses an hardcoded path to store virtual memory cards. As AKuHAK said, the path is +OPL in precompiled builds, PP.SLPM-12345.OPL.OPL in his version and PP.0 in my old version.

You can create the +OPL partition to store VMCs, but it you put the KELF in the +OPL partitions, you could not start it from the HDDOSD and PSBBN. Apps have to be placed in Parent Partitions (with the prefix "PP." to be bootable).
So if you leave the hardcoded VMC path to +OPL, you will need to waste 128 MB to store the OPL KELF in another partition.

The best method is to put VMCs and OPL in the same bootable partition. Example :

PP.SLPM-12345.OPL.OPL\res
PP.SLPM-12345.OPL.OPL\VMC
PP.SLPM-12345.OPL.OPL\EXECUTE.ELF
PP.SLPM-12345.OPL.OPL\EXECUTE.KELF

res is the directory for PSBBN icons, VMC is the directory for virtual Memory Cards, EXECUTE.ELF is the decrypted OPL executable (can be launched by uLe and CodeBreaker), EXECUTE.KELF (is the KrypoELF executed by the HDDOSD and PSBBN).
Of course, if you choose to name them "EXECUTE", you must modify the SYSTEM.CNF data of the partition.
And if you want to use a cracked version of CodeBreaker with OPL, don't forget to modify the ELF launch path.


About Richi's translation :
LOL, after verification, the top.xml included in his second release is the original script. No wonder why the main menu is in Jap. However, the top.xml file of his first release is translated. I'll merge his 2 releases and see how it looks like.

When the bn version string (__linux.4\bn\sysconf\bnversion.dat) is edited to fool the upgrader, the updater leech this :
then the -90004 error arrives.
Maybe it has something to do with tm and dc version strings. Will verify this later... Now I'm doing packet sniffing and analyses...

Yep. and I have 0.10 too, but I didn't install, dump and try it yet.

Here's a dump of 0.20 if you want to study it. To make it boot, I've injected KELFs of 0.32, and copied the kernel from the last partition to the __system partition. Update and upgrade are not disabled.

Damn :( . I tried to install 0.10. During the installation, it asks for DISC2. My console is not modchiped, so I performed a single swap with an original PAL PS2 CD-ROM and the DISC2 of PSBBN 0.10. It didn't work. I swapped discs like a warrior for about one hour, no luck.

Bootice ? Seems to be a nice software=). OK, I will do that for my next dumps. I would be easier and faster than scanning 1/4 of the HDD with TestDisk::dirol::.

I have no idea. I made a lot of PSS muxing, stream coding/decoding for PS2 game rips before, but the BBN is different. I think the BBN may support more codecs and containers. The most close to PSS should be MPEG-2 Program Stream.
PSBBN is nearly open to Linux coders now. I'm pretty sure we will see new exotic features in the future. Please someone port the Matroska Splitter to the PSBBN, hahahah. Seriously, I really hope that people find their interest in the development for PSBBN stuff.
I can't try muxing methods for now because...

... Richi contacted me. Now I'm studying PSBBN apps download/installation. He sent me a KOEI channel backup and 2 game packages. I'm gonna see how that shit works::Download::.

Pffffff, I've tested my last dumps based on the HDDOSD. Totally useless. uLaunchELF didn't copy all files. They don't boot. What a waste of time:IreFulTwo:.

vitas155, AKuHAK and I published enough infos and documentation to make fantastic customizations of the PSBBN.

Personally I'm not into PSBBN stuff at the moment. I've recently joined another forum, met nice guys and my experiments are more oriented to the HDDOSD and DVD Players now.

A few of my pending projects :
- SCEE Demo Disc Menu, I've posted one version of it but I have some others to post, with maybe No Intro/No SFX/No IOPIMG patches.
- Sony Utility Disc Compilation (aka SUDC), I've just posted the 2nd version, but I expect updating it with another Utility Disc...
- HDDOSD 1.00J. I will study it and try to restrict it to the Japanese Multi 2 language selector instead of the Multi 7 language selector, so it doesn't display shit when running on other OSD langs.
- RPC Hacked DVD Players, two things to do : Disable the Macrovision (green screen crap) and allow to turn Progressive Scan on when run on old Fat consoles.
- Messages, messages, messages. A lot of people asked me some help to build compilations with the SCEE Demo Disc Menu. I must find solutions to their problems.
- And last but not least, I have 20 PS2 demo discs to dump, scan, compress and upload for psxplanet.ru, along with a pile of games I've downloaded that need to be reuploaded (because of the Megaupload takedown).

Sorry guys, but sadly I can't jump back to this PS2 HDD Dumps project because of the huge charge of things I'm dealing with.
I still hope that someone comes here and take the project to glorious end with nice contributions.

krHACKen ты извини конешно, но все твои остальные проекты меня мало интересуют по многим причинам,например DVD-плееры мне лично не интересны вообще,мне хватает той версии что есть по умолчанию в моей PS2,а сборки образов с разным софтом которые я вижу ты недавно начал выкладывать мне не интересны,во первых потому что установить я их не могу так как мой лазер почти умер а во вторых там нет того установленного софта что есть в одном из твоих дампов,скачав твой образ со сборкой софта люди часто сталкиваются с тем что их PS2 уже не читает диски по причине старости,а нужного софта нет,и ничего не понимающего в этом человеку приходится искать мануалы как же установить все это вручную,но зачем ему спрашивается мучатся если можно скачать дамп и установить его парой нажатий мышкой,где уже установленно все необходимое? так что вариант с дампами для многих как минимум удобней и проще в установке,плюс наверняка я далеко не один такой человек у кого не работает лазер,все таки PS2 FAT уже очень старые и лазер к ним купить проблематично,вот и пользуются такие люди дампами,для них я его и выложил где только можно,потому что там уже есть все необходимое,лишнее можно удалить и устаналивается он буквально в 2 щелчка,единственное что я хотел бы из исправлений в дамп,это дополненный окнчательный перевод,и вернуть работоспосбность браузера в PSBBN,хотя бы на японском.Все выше сказанное лишь мое мнение и ты можешь просто не обращать на него внимание,ноя считаю свое мнение верным и хотел бы новых дампов с новыми исправлениями =)

I'm afraid I don't have these files anymore. Decrypted/unpacked ELFs can't be used without a bit of hacking (because of the ATAD and the additional HDD firmware check). So I'm cracking all osdboot.elf versions that I have whilst my PS2 demo discs are being uploaded... ... will post that as soon as I can.


vash32 opened his own "PS2 HDD Dumps" project at The Iso Zone Forums. Sorry, I don't post the link here because I think promoting another forum isn't allowed... He also mirrored SUDC2 for the masses:ng_ThumbUp: (SUDC3 is out now by the way).

Oh, and I joined ASSEMblergames lately. There's an orgy of information regarding how to customise your PS2HDD.

Sony didn't appreciate my PSBBN dump; and now they will sh*t their pants seeing that stuff exposed to everyone, with different dump authors and alternative SUDC download links. Ahahah, have a merry Christmas Zooooony.


EDIT :
SUDC3 has an experimental 48bit patched HDDOSD dump and decrypted ELF in its "WIN32" folder. I didn't have the time to write a documentation for it, so use with caution. The MBR is not 48bit patched, so the ___system partition must be within the first 124GB area.
