все оказалось гораздо проще чем я думал,я выяснил откуда красный экрана на этапе 1й из 2х на 49% оказывается PS2 просто не могла считать данные с диска,я выяснил это просто попробовав записать этот же образ на другую болванку =) теперь установка прошла успешно PSBBN запустился,теперь у меня возникла куча вопросов:
1:как установить ваши приложения?
2:как установить английский перевод?
3:как там настроить почтовый ящик?(я уже всю голову сломал не получалось)
4:как зарегистрироваться в клиенте feega(он присутствует в опциях)
5:как посмотреть общий обьем и свободное место на HDD в PSBBN?(все облазил нигде не нашел,свободное место на карте памяти показывает а на HDD нет)
PS: после того как я дал PSBBN обновиться клиент feega исчез из опций -_-
диск с игрой через меню PSBBN по прежнему не запускается но уже ведет себя несколько иначе,теперь при нажатии на игру с диском он думает секунд 10, потом начинает что то активно считывать с жесткого диска в течении 3-4х секунд(все это время на экране висит табличка с знакомыми 2мя строчками) при этом диск с игрой тоже начинает раскручиваться в приводе в итоге все равно не запускается,на кнопки не реагирует::BlackEye:: ::diablo:: :IreFulTwo: :IreFulThree: Furious1

So, if I understand correctly, it was a DVDR burning error ? My hacked disc works ?

I think my applications can be "restored" with WinHIIP if the dump is written to the HDD before the installation of the PSBBN; like I said in my previous post. If the dump is based on HDDOSD (like my HDDOSD+ULE dump), then uLaunchELF cannot be restored, because PSBBN overrides it.

You can also install your own applications, following Richi's tutorial :

It's complicated. For advance users. It involves the injection of the application in a KELF (with FMCB or Neme's Embed Tool), the creation of a parent partition (with the "hacked" version of uLaunchELF), the injection of partition ressources (with an Hex Editor) and the creation of icons to be displayed in PSBBN.

A PSBBN partition is mounted thru Linux so you can copy the translated files.
I can't test it because I dont have a.... ....USB keyboard. LOL. Just because I only have PS/2 keyboards, I can't use PS2 Linux. I don't know how to run an automated script neither.
I planned to search for a PC based method...

No clue neither. There's also a registration option in the Konami GameCity Channel. Since I don't know a Japanese word, I didn't try to register.

я довольно плохо разбираюсь в линуксе так что отложу эту затею до лучших времен -_-

там нет ничего сложного,я спокойно зарегистрировался вот здесь mygamesity после чего в меню PSBBN пошел в канал gamesity выбрал пункт entry и где то там нашел кнопку входа ввел свой id и пароль и вуаля =) для регистрации использовал почту gmail а для перевода меню сайта я использовал маленькую програмку под названием dicter,просто выделяешь мышкой нужный текст и жмешь значок программы возле часов в нижней панели виндовс,так как я плохо знаю английский я использую эту же программу для перевода ваших постов ::crazy::

Thanks for the useful information. I'll try registering one of these days=).

I would like to make an Hacked Build A2 of the PSBBN 0.30 but there's one problem. When you run 0.30, it checks for online update and force you to install 0.32 (0.32 which is of course restricted to Japanese PS2 and official HDD).
This online check can be disabled by hex editing the HDD, but cannot be disabled on the Utility Disc, because partition images contained in PAK files are crypted as fuck....

Now I'm searching for a way to put Richi's English translated files in the ReiserFS partition without running Linux. Work in progress...::Download::.

Nice. I finally got my Ubuntu setup to work properly. I have access to PSBBN partitions with read+write permissions=). My method seems to be correct.

- I make a backup of the PS2HDD TOC with WinHIIP
- I write a PC friendly partition table with TestDisk
- I put the HDD to my Ubuntu setup, log as "root", mount PSBBN partitions, copy translated files
- I put the HDD back to my other PC to restore the TOC with WinHIIP.

At the time I write this message, I didn't test the translated PSBBN in my PS2, because I'm facing some problem with another computer. But I'll give more info very soon.

Yeah this works::DanceTwo::. Many things aren't translated but Richi made a pretty good job.

раз там многое не переведено то неплохо было бы доделать перевод =)

а в идеале я хотел бы что бы установочный диск PSBBN тоже был переведен на английский,как само меню диска так и что бы сразу устанавливался PSBBN с переводом.Это было бы просто отлично =) надеюсь такое возможно? ::blush::

Well unfortunately it is not possible to include translated files in the installation CD, because files of the partitions are crypted and probably compressed too.
The only way to "automate" the translation is to develop an additional program which copies the translated files to the HDD. Not in my competence.

The problem with the use of dumps is the impossibility to run applications. But now I have access to PSBBN partitions, I could do tons of investigations and tests??kawai2??.
