Both games have been previously released on the Sega Saturn.
Sengoku Ace. Robot ninjas are on the attack and it’s up to you to stop them. You can pick one of six different characters. You can play as a ninja girl, an old man with gadgets, a dog, a samurai, a monk, or a shrine maiden. None of them are particularly interesting. At least the whole “giant robots in feudal Japan” thing is pretty cool. Played as some samurai character with the best special attack. This special attack lingers for a short time causing massive damage to bosses best done right in their face. Plane movement feels rather slow. Some other characters have slightly faster planes.
Sengoku Blade: Sengoku Ace Episode II, released as Tengai outside Japan, is a horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up video game released for arcade machines in 1996 by Psikyo as a sequel to the 1993 shooter Sengoku Ace. It was later released as a part of Psikyo Shooting Collection Vol. 2: Sengoku Ace & Sengoku Blade for the PlayStation 2, and separately for iOS and Android devices. The game is set in a historical fantasy version of the Sengoku period of Japanese history, featuring demons, magic and steam-powered robotics. The title of this game translates from Japanese as 'Beyond The Heavens'. This game is known in Japan as "Sengoku Blade: Sengoku Ace Episode II", which literally means 'Civil War Blade - Civil War Ace Episode II'.
