In this remake by Infogrames, your job is to destroy Pookas and Fygars that inhabit the underground by blowing them up or crushing them with rocks. The game plays exactly the same as the original Dig Dug but you must defeat every monster in the level, and that includes the remaining one who escapes to the surface. New monsters are introduced, and you can also get different power-ups that help you get through the level, and use other hazards besides rocks to your advantage. If you like the original game, you will be impressed by this as it contains nice graphics, excellent sound effects, and addictive game play.
