I have found a way to open the Skull to get to the magic Forge. There is a Sacrificial Stone in front of the Skull. I have found that the Gremlins turned to stone by the Wizard are treated as sacrifices to the Skull, allowing me to enter.

A century ago, a King struck upon a dangerous plan to rid his empire of Daglathor's scourge. He would gain his army's entrance to the Temple of Daglathor by pretending to offer his daughter, the virgin Princess Mira, as a sacrificial offering. Once inside, the King would signal his forces to attack, while he escaped with his daughter.


The Princess' betrothed, Prince Vim, could not know of the King's secret plan. He discovered only that she was to be sacrificed, and he set out to rescue her.


He arrived the moment before the King was to give his signal, and saw the princess being led to the edge of the Volcano. He called out to her, revealing himself to the legions of evil that dwelled therein. Daglathor's minions sealed the entrance, and carried out the sacrifice.


Daglathor, infuriated by the attempt, reaped vengeance upon the King's empire and decided Prince Vim would suffer a cruel fate. He sealed Vim in a Tomb with a spell cast upon him. So long as his funeral pyre burns, he shall live, with the knowledge that he caused the death of his beloved, his King, and his people.

I have been wandering these halls for so long... The Maze looked simple from where I entered -- how did it get so complex? It's as if it has no end. I can hear others here in the Maze with me, but I have never seen them. It's as if they are right next to me... I feel I could reach out and touch any of them. I must keep moving. I must find the exit.

I have found a Forge past the Skull. With it, I can merge a Magic Item with an Element. Deep within the Mines I have almost dug out a strange, glowing Meteor. I can merge it with my Magic Axe and forge a new Axe that will make me unbeatable. I must hurry and free the Meteor before someone else figures out what I have discovered.
