PSone doesn't spin games

I of the playstation have a modded 1 IT does not and the dics of spin, I of Thought the problem WAS about the laser (spinned old laser discs for a 'while' and the then stops's itself; IT the stopped spinning definitively
the after I of ' ve adjusted its potentiometer several times) so i bought a new laser but the problem persists.
I do not think the problem is about the lasers, even though no laser spins games.
